Solukhumbu, Feb 17. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that quality technical and vocational education needs to be adopted in order to attain the goal of prosperity.
Inaugurating the Mechi-Mahakali World Campaign run by Solukhumbu Multiple Campus here today, she said quality technical education has an important role in the present context when the country is focused on economic prosperity.
She also said that the mountain range, glaciers, bio-diversity and the natural beauty associated with Nepal’s pride and civilization needs to be conserved. Effective climate adaptation programmes need to be implemented.
The President also wished for success of the campaign initiated by the campus to provide free technical education to five hundred students.
The campaign targets to collect one billion rupees and provide higher education along with hostel facilities to the 500 students.
