Kathmandu, Oct 10 . The oldest hospital of the country, Bir Hospital, has initiated its service from Duwakot from today.
The Bir Hospital under National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS) has started its OPD service from Duwakot.
Hospital Director Prof Dr Bhupendra Basnet said that NAMS has given permission to construct modern physical infrastructure in Duwakot to provide health services of international standard. He said OPD service would open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Health Ministry had provided around 570 ropani of land to NAMS to provide modern health treatment service.
The Bir Hospital has been constructing different physical infrastructures including 1,500-bed hospital, college for medical education there.
Prof Dr Basnet shared the information that the Hospital will have helipad service for the first time in a government hospital.
