Kathmandu, May 8 . Today marks the 133rd anniversary of Coca-Cola, whose history began on 8th of May, 1886 when the curiosity of an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton, led him to create a distinctive tasting soft drink. This drink has been refreshing and uplifting people across the globe since, and the drink that was at once “Delicious and Refreshing” continues to be a part of people’s every day moments.

Dr. Pemberton’s partner and bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, is credited with naming the beverage “Coca‑Cola” as well as designing the trademarked, distinct script, still used today. While it was Dr. Pemberton who created the drink, it was Mr. Asa G. Candler, who grew the business, spreading it to all across the USA.
