The GTH initiative will empower and develop young people who reach beyond their studies to generate positive change in their societies. This fully-funded programme is exclusively for Nepalese teenagers (13-19 years of age), which empowers them to share their own initiatives, creativity, and enthusiasm for social change. By engaging with and motivating these teenagers, GTH aims to inspire a wider group of young people in Nepal to develop socially-positive entrepreneurial thinking and create a ripple effect that has an impact throughout society.

Applications are now open for the WaiWai Glocal Teen Hero Nepal, 2020 Edition. Applicants should be working to create positive impact in society, for example by driving social engagement on current issues. This is the sixth edition of GTH Nepal and the event will be delivered online in keeping with COVID-19 safety protocols.

As a part of the collaboration, aspiring teenagers will engage in a co-creation workshop which will expand their entrepreneurial skillset and enable them to access perspectives beyond what they see in their day-to-day lives. This will be a great opportunity for teenagers who have bright ideas and passion to bring about change, and the desire to lead this journey, but who may have limited experience and access to resources. Building this entrepreneurial mindset augurs well in developing the social and financial capital of Nepal.
