Kathmandu, June 11. Glocal Pvt. Ltd. is delighted to announce the application opening of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Nepal for the year 2021! The application for participation and nomination are both available online.
Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) is an initiation of Glocal Pvt. Ltd (a business enterprise working in the areas of training, education, and skilling) to bring out the teenagers who are doing something beyond their academics and are active to create a positive effect in their society. It is a great platform exclusively for teenagers to share their initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm to foster innovative reasoning.
This is the 7th year of the first ever program designed in the country to recognize dedicated, passionate, and innovative teenagers so as to encourage their initiatives. Glocal Teen Hero began in Nepal from the year 2015, to recognize teenagers in Kathmandu, and later by 2016, it expanded nationwide in order to provide a national platform for all the teenagers. It also aims to take Glocal Teen Hero to all the South Asian Countries. Likewise; India is the first country and Sri Lanka second to host the Glocal Teen Hero franchise respectively.
Amidst the second wave of COVID -19 in Nepal; which is still very uncertain and looking over to all the circumstances, Glocal Teen Hero is all set to go virtual this year as well. Keeping the program’s momentum and embracing the era of digital proficiencies all the Glocal Teen Hero selection process to the awarding ceremony shall be done virtually.
Glocal Tee Hero is a fully funded program; where teenagers from Nepal (age from 13 to 19) can apply via online: https://nepal.glocalteenhero.com/. The deadline for the submission of the application is July 30, 2021.
From the total no. of applications and document review; Top 20 will be selected on the basis of impact created and Top Six Finalists will be shortlisted for the final round of Glocal Teen Hero –Nepal; based on their initiation, impact & sustainability of work and also the attitude. The finalist screening will be through online and interviewed online by a jury team composed of H.E. Ms. Nona Deprez, the Ambassador of Delegation of the European Union to Nepal, Ms. Vidushi Rana, Director of Marketing, Branding and Business development at Gold Star shoes, Mr. Varun Chaudhary, Managing Director of CG Corp Global, Mr. Adarsh Avasthi, Country Director of the Coca-Cola Company for Nepal and Mr. Saurabh Jyoti, Director of Jyoti Group of Companies and the Chairman of Syakar Trading Company (authorized distributors of Honda automobiles).
Elated with the announcement, Mr. Asish Thakur (Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.) shared that “We adopted the virtual method for GTH ceremony this year as well, as we are very much concerned about the ongoing scenarios. Digitally, we plan to connect with teenagers throughout the country and provide them the platform to showcase their initiation.”

Keeping up the legacy, we also have another opportunity for all the teenagers around the world i.e Glocal International Teen Conference (GITC). It is a platform for all the teenagers from age 13 to 19 to learn, empower and bring social impact through a participatory and interactive environment with peers from all over the globe. It is a lifetime experience to connect with the influencing teenager and act for a positive change. GITC is not just a conference, but a place teenager come to share and learn. This time GITC is also going to be held virtually from August 28 to 30, 2021.
