How much is the salary of a government employee now?

Kathmandu, May 30. The government has increased the salaries of government employees by 15 percent. Through the budget statement of the Fiscal Year 2079-2080 BS, it has been announced to increase the salary of all government employees including government employees, teachers and security personnel by 15 percent. The increased salary will be implemented from 1 July 2079. Presenting the budget for the current fiscal year 2079/80, Finance Minister Janardan said that the dearness allowance that has been spent on this before is still the same.

The salary of the chief secretary, who is in the highest position among the government employees, will now be Rs 77,211. Earlier, he was paid Rs 67,140. Apart from the salary, the employees from the chief secretary to the secretary get a lump sum monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 for expensive allowance. In the same way, they get a salary increase of one grade every year.

The secretary will get Rs. 72,082. Earlier, it was Rs 62,680. Employees up to the secretary get a lump sum monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 for expensive allowance. In the same way, they get a salary increase of one grade every year.

The joint secretary has increased by 15 percent from Rs 49,380 to Rs 56,787. Similarly, the Deputy Secretary has reached Rs 48,737. Earlier, they used to get Rs 42,380. Similarly, the officer will get Rs 43,688. Earlier, the officer was paid Rs 37,990.

Nasu will now get Rs 34,730. Before that it was 30,200. Now the buyer’s salary has reached 32 thousand 901 rupees. Earlier, the buyer’s salary was Rs 28,610.

Now the salaries of government teachers and employees have been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000. Minister Sharma said that a high level salary facilitation commission would be formed to review the minimum wage facility for civil servants and to study the wage facility of workers and make recommendations to the Government of Nepal.

Finance Minister Sharma has also announced to form a commission to review the posts at the federal, state and local levels and recommend to the government to increase or decrease the posts. The commission will also suggest any issues that need to be improved in the administrative sector.

Also, Finance Minister Sharma has announced to form a commission to study the salary facility of the employees. As soon as the country went into administrative federalism, the need for a high-level commission was not met but administrative federalism could not gain momentum and even the integration became controversial.
