LPG supply to continue smoothly

Kathmandu, March 6 . The sale and distribution of LPG or cooking gas will become normal from Tuesday. A three-point agreement was reached between the agitating LPG Industries Association and Nepal Oil Corporation.

Accordingly the Association has withdrawn all its programmes of protest, and will continue to purchase the PDO of LPG from the Corporation from today. The agreement was reached in the presence of the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

As per the agreement, the Committee formed by the NOC Board of Directors on March 1 will study the demands of the LPG industrialists and present a report along with recommendations within 15 days.

Furthermore, a high-level committee will be formed to outline a road map for overall reforms of petroleum products management including LPG, according to a statement issued jointly by NOC Executive Director Surendra Kumar Poudel and Association President Gokul Bhandari.
