Rara, Nov 24 . A passenger has died on-board a plane on its way to Nepalgunj from Rara airport.
Dhir Bahadur Shahi,38, was traveling in a Tara airlines with call sign 9N AET when he reportedly passed away. He was a resident of ward no. 8 in Soru rural municipality in Mugu district.
Meanwhile, Tara Airlines Nepalgunj station manager Surya Mani Subedi said that the passenger had fell unconscious in the plane and was rushed to the hospital soon after the plane embarked at Ranjha airport. He died on the way to hospital.
The aircraft was carrying 13 passengers including Shahi. The relatives have claimed that their loved on. died on the plane while the airlines representatives say he died while being taken to the hospital.
Likewise, the two sides also differ about where a letter of consent had been signed before allowing Shahi, who was reportedly sick, to board the aircraft.
The airlines company has to pay compensation in case any passenger dies on board an aircraft provided there is no legal agreement for the same, according to civil aviation rules of the country.
Meanwhile, the families of the deceased have not received the body of Shahi demanding just compensation. The body has been taken to Bheri hospital for a post-mortem.RSS
