Kathmandu, Sept 14 . The Supreme Court has ordered the Nepal Medical Association not to enforce shutdown and strike in the health service sector.
A single bench of apex court justice Deepak Raj Joshee ordered the Association to not close the basic sector like health service. “Do not immediately implement the NMA decision to shut health service effective from September 11 until another notice”, stated the court order.
The NMA had launched a protest programme demanding amendment to the Civil and Criminal (Code) Act-2074 BS. The government and Association had signed a five-point agreement in this regard.
