Janakpurdham, April 21- All government and private schools in Dhanusa district have been shut down for three days starting today, demanding re-examination of Social Studies at the Dhabauli and Yadukoha SLC exam centres.
SLC examinees at the centre had on March 25 boycotted the exam in protest against the act of security personnel firing shots in course of the exams.
Examination of other subjects continued following the incident based on an agreement between the local administration and guardians.
However, since the Office of the Controller of Examinations did not take any step towards holding examination for the boycotted subject we have been forced to shut down the schools in protest, said student leader Gyanendra Jha.
Various students’ union have joined the protest program and have warned of resorting to stringent form of protest if their demand was not met.
