Unique Platfarm for students to kick start career Kathmandu, March 8. Glocal After School is organizing Skill Week – 2021 from 21st March to 29th March, 2021. With the aim of tapping emerging skills it has been offering training, interactions, workshops, competitions, and exposure for aspiring youths. To achieve this purpose, large Industries, Educators and Government will facilitate and promote the extensive skilling opportunities ranging from business, services, technology to art and culture field the event.
In this special event, a very passionate engineer, educational reformer, and visionary Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, an inspiration behind a Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots will share his experiences and vision as the KeyNote Speaker.
The event showcases four distinct skill areas i.e. Art and Culture, Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Hospitality and Science and Technology. Main highlights of the event are Training, Workshops, Competition, Skill Award and Case Studies.
From 21st to 28th March, workshops and training regarding respective skills will be provided by different organizations at various venues throughout the week. On 27th of March, Internship/ Mini Job fair will be organized in the premises of King’s College, followed up with Case Study Presentation.
29th March is marked for a yearly program CEO Unplugged by Glocal Pvt. Ltd. CEO Unplugged is a yearly forum organized by Glocal Pvt. Ltd. comprising series of panel discussion where we try to establish a forum to discuss about contemporary business challenges, opportunities and futuristic view with a sight of experiential learning to the new comers in the business and students with an objective “Today Meets Tomorrow”.
On the same day Closing Ceremony of the Skill Week where four veterans from respective fields will be awarded for their dedication and inspiring people to follow and sharpen the skills. Glocal After School, an entity of Glocal Pvt. Ltd. has been a center for learning of employability skills. With the concept to develop what the market demands by activities for well skilled human resources, GAS provides training which focuses on employability skills.
This event is an open platform for youth, i.e. the entries are free, to participate and they can get enrolled in varied workshops, competitions, case studies and the beauty of this year’s event is Internship/Job Placements which aims to expose young trainees to the world of work them opportunities to build hands-on professional experience. This event will therefore help youth to explore, get engaged and educate in the various skills, also become employable.
