15 arrested for their suspicious activities

Kathmandu, May 27.  Nepal Police on Monday arrested 15 people from different places across the nation for their involvement in suspicious activities.

Police arrested seven persons from Kathmandu, four from Lalitpur, one each from Rukum (west) and Jhapa and two from Surkhet for their suspicious activities during Nepal banda called by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led group, said Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General, Bishwo Raj Pokharel.

Investigation into the case was underway, he added. Vehicles were torched at six different places across the country during banda.

According to the Police Headquarters, two vehicles were torched in Makawanpur, one each in Durkhet, Nawalparasi (east), Kalikot and Ramechhap districts. Search for those involved in the incidents was underway, said police.
