Itahari, Nov 8 . Property worth around 10 million rupees was gutted when a four-storey building at Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City of Sunsari district caught fire on Wednesday.
The fire started due to short circuit, it is learnt. There are more than one dozen of shops and offices are in operation in the building.
The upper three floors of the building suffered complete damages due to the fire. According to the Area Police Office, Itahari, all the goods and materials kept inside the shops and offices were damaged in the incident. Around one dozen of fire engines, brought from different places including Itahari, Dharan and Biratnagar doused the fire after two hours effort .
Police said that although a huge quantity of property was damaged by fire, no human causality was reported in the incident.
