BFIN and VSIT signed MoU in Mumbai

Kathmandu, February 12. Banking Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal Ltd. (BFIN) and Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday February 9, 2019 in Mumbai.

VSIT is an Engineering Degree and Management College, approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Incepted in 1999 and awarded an ‘A’ Grade by the Govt. of Maharashtra, the Institute is working to establish a leading centre of imparting quality education in the field of Science, commerce and management.

BFIN is the capacity development institution promoted by 16 national level institutions represented by commercial banks, development banks, finance companies, micro credit institutions, capital market institutions and the Emerging Nepal Limited for developing and nurturing competent professionals in the banking, finance, insurance, and capital market industry in Nepal.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Rohini Kelkar Principal, Vidyalankar School of Information Technology, Mumbai India and Dr. Binod Atreya, Managing Director of BFIN, Kathmandu Nepal.

This alliance opens up opportunity for Nepalese banking professionals to participate in training of IT domains such as core banking software solutions, IT audit, cyber security, digitisation and so on.

This partnership is expected to further leverage the strategic intervention towards the capacity development of the bank and bringing positive transformation in human capital development in IT sector.
