Biratnagar-Bangladesh direct flight essential

Biratnagar, March 18. Minister for Social Development of the State-1 Jeevan Ghimire has said direct air service from Biratnagar to Dhaka was essential to attract Bangladeshi tourists to the region.
In an interaction jointly organized by Embassy of Bangladesh, Kathmandu and Youth Development Centre, Itahari here today, Minister Ghimire added that the direct service was essential also to lessen the trade deficit with the country.
Recalling Nepal’s assistance to the independence movement of Bangladesh, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams said the country has provided custom facility for the export of Nepali products.
Also on the occasion, a documentary on economic progress and tourism promotion achieved by Bangladesh in the past 10 years was screened.
