Kathmandu, Sept 23. Baahrakhari Everest Golf, 2019 will take place on October 20 to be organised by Baahrhakhari Media.
The game categorised in to two phases will first take place in the mountainous area of Kongde Ri at an altitude of 4250 meters above sea level aims to promote ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020’, said the organiser at a press conference organised here on Monday to share this information.
The second phase will take place on October 26 at Gokarna Safari Resort in Gokarna, Kathmandu, said Prateek Pradhan, Editor-In-Chief of Baahrakhari Media, adding that approximately 100 golfers will participate in the second phase. More than 40 players will compete in the first phase.
For the first phase, a golf course is being built in Kongde Ri with the technical help from Gokarna Golf Club, said the oorganiser, claiming that the game will be the first of its kind in Nepal in that altitude.
Various news media correspondents have been invited from India, China, Sri Lanka, the United States of America, Singapore, Hong Kong and United Kingdom to cover the game. ”Foreign news channels like CNN, BBC, Reuters, AP, AFP and Bloomberg have been invited to cover the sport,” said Pradhan.
