As the weather begins to drop and the chills kick in, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, managed by Shanti Hospitality Management Services, is all set to warm your senses with the “Flavours of Kashmir” this November with a bespoke menu prepared for the Kathmandu winter by Indian Celebrity Chef Sanjay Raina, the undisputed Ambassador to Kashmiri Cuisine around the world.
The ‘Flavours of Kashmir’ festival will be inaugurated by H.E Mr Manjeev Singh Puri, the Ambassador of India to Nepal, along with the DCM & senior members of the Indian Embassy, at an exclusive reception dinner for Kathmandu’s diplomatic and business community. Following his inauguration, esteemed guests will be able to immerse themselves in Kashmir’s rich heritage with a cultural performance by the Indian Embassy’s Swami Vivekanand Cultural Center.
‘Flavours of Kashmir’ will be a showcase of Kashmiri cuisine, with each of the dishes being curated from Chef Raina’s extensive menu of authentic offerings handpicked to offer the comfort of some old favorites and the excitement of some new. All menu items will be laboriously and carefully prepared by Chef Sanjay Raina and Aloft Kathmandu Thamel’s Executive Chef Shailendra Singh, and their respective teams.

Aiming to showcase Kashmiri culture via its cuisine, Executive Chef Sailendra Singh has worked with Chef Raina to develop a bespoke culinary menu for those who want to experience exotic gourmet dishes, flying Chef Raina and his team in from New Delhi especially for the event.
