Free health insurance coverage to 300 poor families

Damauli, April 26 . The Bandipur rural municipality has provided free health insurance coverage to 300 families in the current fiscal year. The insurance coverage has been provided to financially poor families.

Fifty households each have been selected from the six wards to ensure that the poor families are coverage by the state-run insurance facility, chair of the rural municipality Purna Singh Thapa said. So far, the rural municipality has invested Rs. 750,000.

The health insurance coverage was introduced in Tanahu on Bhadra 1, 2074. So far 10,000 plus households have joined the insurance programme in Tanahu, according to the Health Insurance Office, Tanahu.

The people who are covered by the insurance programme can avail services at Damauli hospital in Tanahu, Bandipur hospital in Bandipur, Bhimad Primary Health Centre in Bhimad, Purandidi primary health centre in Bhanu municipality and GP Koirala Respiratory Treatment centre in Belchautara.
