Govt allocates more than 57 billion for agriculture

KATHMANDU, MAY 28:  The government has allocated a budget of Rs 57.29 billion for the agriculture sector in the next fiscal year.

While presenting the national budget for the next fiscal year today in the parliament, Finance Minister Barshman Pun informed this. According to him, a subsidized amount of Rs 27.95 billion is allocated for the timely management of fertilizer for the farmers.

Similarly, promoting the production and use of organic food and biological pesticides and discouraging chemical pesticides is another plan of the government as mentioned in the budget.
