Home Ministry directs all DAOs to send details of illiciitly captured public properties

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 23: The Ministry of Home has today directed all seventy-seven district administration offices (DAOs) across the country to ascertain whether public properties are illicitly seized. According to Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, spokesperson of the ministry, the offices also have been told to send the details of the government lands found to be captured any any individuals/groups.
He also stated that coordination will be carried out with the concerned authorities to proceed with legal action against those owing the public properties illegally.
Following various incidents of government lands either being unlawfully encroachment or used for purposes other than those offcilally specified, the Ministry has taken the initiative to reclaim such lands.
