Kathmandu, April 29. Rabindra Tiwari won the Hyundai Open Golf Tournament here at Gokarna Golf Club.

Tiwari playing with six handicap scored 41 points to win the trophy. He scored birdies on fifth and 18 hole, his drop shots was on ninth, 16th and 17th holes. With the win he also got Rs 100,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone.

Bharat Bastakoti and Bhairaja Pandey were tied for second place. On the count back Bastakoti finished runner-up as he scored 20 against 19 of Pandey. Bastakoti got trophy,  Rs 50,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone. Pandey came second-runner up on the count back and got Trophy, Rs 20,000 worth gift vouchers and Cool pad smart phone.

Prithvi Malla got the best gross award with the gross score of 39 points. His carded four birdies on third, fifth, sixth and 12th holes against lone bogey on the first hole. He got Trophy, Rs 50,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone.

South Korean golfer Miae Li won the ladies category with 42 points. She received trophy, Rs 20,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone. Sadbhav Acharya was junior winner with 39 points and bagged trophy, Rs 20,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone.

Former chief of army Gen Gaurav SJB Rana was senior winner (age 60 & above) with 35 points, he got trophy, Rs 20,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone. Madhav Simkhada was the winner among Hyundai car owners category, he received trophy, Rs 20,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone.

Tashi Dong got the longest drive, Hridesh Kumar Singh had closest to the pin and Vijay Shrestha Einhaus got most birdies on count back with four birdies. Each of them got trophy, Rs 10,000 worth gift voucher and Cool pad smart phone. All gift vouchers are redeemable for accommodation at Gokarna Forest Resort, for purchase at proshop and Hyundai facility.

The tournament sponsored by Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor Hyundai Cars in Nepal was participated by 127 golfers. The tournament was played under stableford format with 3/4 handicap.

South Korean Ambassador His Excellency Park Young Sik, Chairman of Laxmi Group Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, and President of Gokarna Golf Club Suhrid Ghimire gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
