MAW Vriddhi partners with Dongfeng; first ever electric hatchback to be launched in Nepal 

KATHMANDU, MAY 24: MAW Vriddh  has announced its partnership as the authorized exclusive importer for the Dongfeng Motors based in China. The ammoncement was made yesterday. With this, Nammi 01, the electric vehicle (EV)  belonging to the passenger segment  manufactured by th Chinese manufacturer, is soon be launched in the market. The product will be the first ever electric hatchback to come to Nepal.

The Nammi 01, a premium electric hatchback, boasts dimensions of 4030/1810/1570 mm, a 2660 mm wheelbase, a ground clearance of 176 mm, and stylish R17 wheels. It features segment-first frameless doors, flush handles, and self-parking capabilities, “setting it apart with its innovative technology and design”.

Seating five people, the Nammi 01 is available in seven colors, including four single colors and three dual-tone combinations. The cockpit houses a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a 12.8-inch central screen, complete with mobile remote control and over-the-air updates.

Equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery pack  (42.3 kWh), the Nammi 01 also offers a range of 430 km on the NEDC cycle. It can recharge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a DC charger.

The Nammi 01 is poised to set new standards in the hatchback segment, captivating Nepalese consumers with its unparalleled tech and eye-catching design, while also contributing to an environmentally friendly driving experience, it is claimed.
