Kathmandu, July 16. Ncell Private Limited on July 16 announced implementation of the Telecommunication Services Charges (TSC) in line with changes that government effected on the TSC.
While implementing the TSC, Ncell has not effected any change on prices before tax of various products and services. Likewise, for the convenience of the customers, the company on the day also unveiled a campaign, which offers more value on voice and data packs to the customers.
In order to enhance transparency on tariff, the company said it will now be communicating all its tariff plans in prices exclusive of taxes and the new TSC rate will be applicable on the same effective from Tuesday (July 17). The Government of Nepal issuing an order under Periodic Tax Collection Act and through the budget announcement for 2018/19 has increased TSC by 2 percentage point to 13% on voice and other telecom services and also levied 13% TSC on internet service.
Likewise, launching the campaign, which is coming into effect for 90 days from July 17, the company has offered a new array of data packs that ensure customers get more data volume on daily packs, 3-day packs, weekly packs and monthly packs. Similar offer on voice packs enable the customers to enjoy more talk time on daily, 3 day, weekly, monthly day & day unlimited voice packs. Customers can subscribe to any of these packs as per their requirement and enjoy more value.

Under the new data campaign, the company has offered attractive packs that ensure customers get more value for the money. For instance, in a daily data customers can now subscribe to 35 MB applicable to any network at mere Rs 9 excluding taxes and enjoy bonus of additional 35 MB data volume that comes for free and can be used in 4G network.
Customers can take data packs by simply dialing *17123# and selecting the preferred pack from among the available options. They can also dial *17118# and follow the instruction to subscribe to the preferred voice pack.
In case of SMS packs, international roaming and roaming packs, biz plans and Koseli service also, Ncell has slashed tariff before tax in order to partially absorb the impact of the new TSC rate.
Meanwhile, the standard per minute local call rate remains unchanged at Rs. 1.99 excluding taxes. The company has also not effected any change on before taxes rate of SMS, Pay As You Go rate of data, saapati facility and postpaid service packs.
