Fire in soyabean industry causes damages worth Rs 40 million

Kailali, Oct 28. A soyabean industry at Shankarpur of Tikapur Municipality-3 in Kailali district was gutted in fire today morning causing damage to properties worth Rs 40 million. According to the Area Police Office, Tikapur, the fire caught the factory at around 4 am.
The preliminary investigation of the police suggests that the fire erupted due to short circuit. The factory’s structures and goods in go-down were reduced to ashes in the incident, informed the factory’s proprietor Manish Balayar. The joint effort of the locals and security personnel and fire brigade from the Tikapur Municipality doused the fire in two hours. Further investigation into the case was underway.
