Man promising fake jobs in Greece, Turkey arrested

Kathmandu, Feb 23. Police on Sunday made public a fraudster swindling as many as 32 people luring them of foreign employments in European countries Greece and Turkey.
Kamal Prasad Pokharel, originally from Bhudhabare in Morang and currently staying in Chuchhepati in Kathmandu, was arrested on the charges of swindling around Rs 4 million rupees from aspirant migrant workers, according to the Metropolitan Crime Division.
Pokharel had been absconding with the money and was arrested from Teku in the capital city after Gopiram Parajuli lodged a complaint against the former on 26 January, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Kumar Singh.
The arrested, after probing into the incident, has been handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment for further action, shared SP Singh.
