Mega Bank receive Bank of the Year awards
Kathmandu, Nov 29. Mega Bank Nepal Limited has become the youngest Bank in Nepal to receive the Bank of the Year awards. The Banker, a highly recognized UK based International Financial Affairs magazine with over 90 years of history, has presented the internationally prestigious Bank of the Year 2019, Nepal award to Mega Bank.
The Chairman of the Bank Mr. Bhoj Bahadur Shah and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Anupama Khunjeli received the award on Thursday evening in a formal ceremony organized at London. Every year, The Banker selects one winning bank each, from over 120 countries out of over 1,000 banks. Chairman of the Bank Mr. Shah expressed his gratitude and thanked all the Customers, Shareholders, Employees, Regulators, the Media, Stakeholders and Well Wishers for the continued support, contribution and Trust in Mega Bank.
He also expressed that this award stands as a milestone for the Bank’s continuing, never-ending journey of providing financial service embedded on the philosophy of Excellence to all the customers. CEO Ms. Khunjeli expressed that Mega Bank, in a short span of just 9 years of operation has been able to stand in the forefront of the competition by providing excellent quality banking service, a reflection of which is this prestigious achievement and international recognition.
She also pledged to provide enhanced banking experience in the days ahead with further efforts made from the Bank’s part and showed confidence for the continued support from everyone to make the Bank even stronger and prosperous, along the journey ahead. This week the Bank has also been certified by ISO 9001:2015 by United Registrar of Systems in recognition of compliance of Quality Management Systems by the Bank. The Bank currently operates with 111 branches, 21 extension counters, 112 ATM terminals, 119 branchless banking outlets and more than 2500 Mega Remit agents under its growing network.
