Chinese nationals held with eight kilos gold

Kathmandu, Nov 29. Police has arrested two Chinese nationals for possessing eight kilogrammes gold from Tribhuvan International Airport. The Airport security office and customs office apprehended Chen Qinghuang and Chpen Zhaoyang who arrived in Kathmandu from Hong Kong on a Nepal Airlines flight at 11.40 pm on Thursday.
Chief of the Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari, Deputy Inspector General Shailesh Thapa Chhetri said the two Chinese nationals were arrested in course of regular check at the airport. Both of them have been kept at Metropolitan Police Circle Gaushala and investigation is on whether those arrested are the gold owners or traffickers, Chhetri said.
