Helambu rural municipality decides to provide monthly allowance to single men

Kathmandu, Oct 4.The Helambu rural municipality in Sindhupalchowk has decided to provide Rs 500 monthly allowance to a single man. As the local government said, the procedure for the same has been developed and it is coming into force from the coming fiscal year.
It is estimated that there are around 350 single men in the rural municipality and the exact details will be collected before the distribution, said rural municipality chair, Nima Gyaljen Sherpa.
Earlier, the rural municipality’s assembly reached a conclusion that it would be a good initiation to ensure the social security allowance for single men and a budget of Rs two million was approved for the same.
