Govt appoints Pokharel as CAAN Director General

Kathmandu, June 28. Government has appointed Rajan Pokharel as the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday took this decision. Pokharel was the officiating Director General at the regulatory body of the aviation, CAAN.
Talking to the National News Agency (RSS), Director General Pokharel said he would commit to the improvement in air service, making efforts to ensure air safety and infrastructure building. His priority was the operation of under-construction international airports, and upgrading of the domestic airports, he said, adding that the CAAN would work in cooperation with the companies providing air service. He however shared that it was challenging task to bring reform.
