Former education minister Poudel passes away

Kathmandu, June 14 . Former Education Minister Dhaniram (DR) Poudel has passed away this morning. He died due to cardiac arrest at his home town, Madi, of Chitwan. According to Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chitwan district chair Yam Bahadur Pariyar said that former minster Poudel died at 7.00 am at this home.
Poudel who suffered a cardiac arrest at his home at Madi municipality-5, Ramailodanda was taken to Madi-based Baghauda Hospital at 7.00 this morning. Hospital doctors confirmed his death. Poudel was the member of the Constituent Assembly. He had also served as a central chair of ANNISU (Revolutionary) – a student wing of the CPN (Maoist). He was also a writer and journalist.
His spouse Ganga Belbase is also a central member of NCP. He is survived by two daughters. NCP chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Pracahnda’ along with other central leaders of the party are scheduled to attend the final rites of Poudel today, shared NCP Chitwan chair Pariyar
