Six arrested with banned Indian currency

Kathmandu, May 13 .The Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu has arrested six persons with 1.5 million rupees worth of banned Indian currency.
They were arrested along with the banned currency notes of 1000 and 500 denomination from a hotel in New Bazaar of Kathmandu-16 last night.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Shambhu Pariyar,21, of Dhading, Ram Bikram Khadka,23, of Dolakha, Santosh Thapa,40, of Kaski, Nabin Thapa of Baglung, and Rajendra Tamang and Dhandwaj Tamang,37, of Kavre. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
