NRA’s Rs 156 billion budget passed
Kathmandu, May 5 . The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has allocated Rs 156 billion budget for the coming fiscal year 2019/20. The 15th meeting of NRA’s Directive Committee held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Sunday passed the budget and programmes for the coming fiscal year.
NRA’s Chief Executive Officer, Shushil Gyawali, said that the meeting decided to forward the programmes in an effective manner. Of the Rs 156 billion, around Rs 630 billion has been calculated from government and the remaining from donor agencies for the overall reconstruction task.
A financial draft in accordance with the draft was presented in the meeting. On the occasion, Prime Minister and Director of NRA Directive Committee, KP Sharma Oli directed the NRA to provide shelters to victims as soon as possible by forwarding the reconstruction task effectively.
Prime Minister Oli expressed commitment that the government would provide all ossible support to NRA in order to complete reconstruction task soon and make it more effective, saying reconstruction works have been moving ahead in an speedy manner and achievements gained in last one year in this sector are very significant, said CEO Gyawali quoting PM.
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Finance Minister Dy Yubraj Khatiwada as well as representatives of opposition parties and office-bearers associated with NRA were present on the occasion.
