Journalist Maharjan released

Kathmandu, May 1. Editor of Nhugu Jwajalapa wa pau weekly Jitendra Maharjan has been released from police custody.
Arrested on April 9 during news reporting from the central premises of Nepal Bar Association in the capital, Maharjan was released by a Supreme Court order on Tuesday.
The Federation of Nepali Journalists had filed a habeas corpus writ, calling for his release from custody, which it argued was illegal.
