Nationwide school enrollment drive kicks off

Bhaktapur, April 16 . Nationwide school enrolment campaign has kicked off since Monday with the slogan ‘Our town our village, bring all children to school’.
The drive has been put in place across the country through all 753 local governments so as to bring out-of-school children to schools. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology called for the nationwide enrollment campaign.
Gehanath Sharma, Director of Education and Human Resource Development Centre Sanothimi, informed that the enrollment campaign was put in place to maximize school enrollment.
Every local government joined the campaign for enrollment from Monday when the educational right has come under the ambit of local level, he added.
He further noted that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Education Minister increasing number of enrollment of children Girirajmani Pokharel also have called for children enrollment to school .
This year campaign has the target to enroll 91,000 out-of-school students to schools.
Director Sharma said students’ enrollment campaign would be run up to April 28 and it would follow door-to-door campaign. The campaign is also expected to be spectacular to keep retention of students enrolled in schools.
