Airplane crash in Lukla

Solukhumbu, April 14 . An aircraft of the Summit Air has met with an accident at the Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla this morning.
The accident occurred as the Summit Air aircraft that was about to take off from the airport hit a parked helicopter at 9.20 am today, the Chief District Officer of Solukhumbu district, Narendra Kumar Rana, said.
How many people were on board the airplane is not ascertained. Jeet Bahadur Karki, an eye-witness, said the airplane has caught fire immediately after hitting the chopper. Details of the incident are awaited.
