Rain with strong winds

Kathmandu, April 6 . The impact of westerly winds and local weather system led to rain with strong winds in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu valley this morning. The weather will continue to remain the same until Monday, said meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel.
Majority of the parts of the country have been affected by a change in the weather. Light to heavy rainfall is taking place at present in different parts of the country. This change in the weather will develop gradually to continue until Monday, added Pokharel.
The weather will open up and there shall be sunshine in Kathmandu later in the afternoon while the weather will continue to remain gloomy in other parts of the country, says the Weather Forecasting Division. In the morning, Kathmandu valley experienced 4.0 millimeters of rainfall. The weather bulletin for tonight of the Division says that generally it will be cloudy throughout the country.
Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning are likely to occur at some places of the eastern and central regions and at a few places of the western region. There are chances of light to moderate snowfall at some places of the high mountainous region. RSS
