Death toll from disaster reaches 27

Birgunj, April 1. Police have informed that total 27, including 26 from Bara and one from Parsa district have so far lost their lives and over 600 people injured in the incident of storm occurred last night.
According to District Police Office, Bara, Theta rural municipality of Bara saw the highest number of human casualties. The disaster also caused loss of lives and properties in Telkuwa, Simangadh, Basini, Bhaluhi, Hardiya, Pashurampur and Dharmanagar of Bara and Parsa, informed Hem Bahadur Shahi, Bara police spokesperson.
Rescue operation is still underway and more details on the disaster are yet to be reported, police said.
