Nepali arrested on the charge of IR 1.5 million theft

Baitedi, March 31. A Nepali national has been arrested on the charge of stealing 1.5 million Indian rupees in India. A resident of Dasarathchand municipality-4, Niraj Bahadur Chand,32, was arrested from his home by police.
He reportedly stole the cash from Rajasthan, India where he was working. Chand was arrested from his home last night after a communication was received from the Nepali Embassy in India, according to the DSP at the district police office, Netramani Giri.
Chand has confessed to stealing 1.4 million Indian currency from the house of one Rajesh Gupta in Rajasthan, India. However, only 1.5 million IR was found from him.
Chand said that he handed over the remaining amount to someone in Kailali. As a result, he is being handed over to Kailali police for further investigation, DSP Giri said.
