Brief rain forecast in most of places

Kathmandu, March 30 .  The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted brief rainfall with thunders in most of places across the country including the Kathmandu Valley due to the impact of low-pressure westerly wind.

According to meteorologist Manju Basi, the wind that entered Nepal since Friday will have its impact on weather of eastern and central regions for the next one or two days. Though there is no possibility of heavy rainfall now, most of the places are likely to see light to moderate rains.

This is pre-monsoon phase and rain will not continue for long. There is chance of light snowfall in few places of the high mountainous region.

Generally cloudy sky has been predicted in most of places tonight, and a few places in the eastern and central regions are likely to witness brief thundershowers, the Division said.

Likewise, there will be partial to generally cloudy sky in the eastern and central regions and a few places in the eastern-western regions will possibly see light shower.

The Division recorded the Kathmandu Valley’s latest minimum temperature at 13.6 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature at 25.0 degree Celsius.
