Nawalpur to be developed as industrial corridor’

Kawasoti, March 13 . Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Prithvi Subba Gurung has underlined the need to develop Nawalpur as an industrial corridor.
“Nawalpur is one of the important districts to propel prosperity in the Gandaki State. We have initiated framing plans putting entrepreneurship and industry on priority”, CM Gurung said while inaugurating the small and cottage industry programme at Kawasoti of Nawalpur on Tuesday.
Also speaking on the occasion, State Minister for Forest and Environment Bikas Lamsal said the government has come up with a pan to develop well-managed industrial corridor in Lokaha of Nawalpur.
A small and cottage industry office has been set up at the office of sector forest based in Kawasoti-8 for the time being. The office is planning to deliver service in the near future.
In absence of the office of small and cottage industry in Nawalpur, the entrepreneurs and business community people have been compelled to travel to Parasi, which is located in the far-south of the district.
Chairperson of Nawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr Suraj Pokharel said the number of entrepreneurs would presumably increase in the area with the establishment of small and cottage industry office here.
