Lawmaker Bhusal requests to deduct her rental allowance

Kathmandu, Dec 17 . Lawmaker Pampha Bhusal, who owns a house in Kathmandu, has expressed her astonishment over enlisting her name in the list of those lawmakers entitled to the rental allowance.
Lawmaker Bhusal who was elected from Lalitpur constituency no 3 issued a press statement today and clarified that she had notified in the property details to be furnished to the Parliament Secretariat about her home.
“I have taken politics as a means for social service and have been active in politics for four decades. I am very serious about the questions raised on financial integrity,” Bhusal further said.
According to her, the Parliament Secretariat deposits all the allowances to the lawmaker’s account. She also admitted her ignorance about the deposit of rental allowance to her bank account by the Secretariat.
The lawmaker said she had already made a request to deduct her rental allowances while she assumes the role of lawmaker.
