Subcommittee to probe sale of upper Marsyangdi license

Kathmandu, Nov 27 . The finance committee under the House of Representatives has decided to form a sub-committee to investigate the alleged sale of the shares of Upper Marsyangdi Hydro project.
The committee reached the conclusion of forming a sub-committee after holding discussions with the officials of Ministry of Finance, Nepal Rastra Bank, and Investment Board of Nepal.
The finance committee has taken the decision to investigate into the issue after Indian GMR sold the share ownership of the company to a Chinese company through the Butwal Power Company.
