Govt collects Rs 206.6 billion in revenue in three months

Kathmandu, Nov 4 . The government has collected Rs 206.6 billion in revenue so far in the current fiscal year 2075/76 ( 2018-19). The collection is the 27.57 percent of this year’s target of collecting Rs 904.5 billion. This year so far has recorded an increment in revenue collection due to reforms at customs points and strictness in internal revenue collection, said the Office of Auditor General.
The Birgunj Customs Office has topped the revenue collection followed by Bhairahawa Customs Office, Tribhuvan University Airport Customs Office, Biratnagar Customs Office, Birgunj Dry Port, Nepalgunj Customs Office, Rasuwa Customs Office, Mechi Customs Office, Krishna Nagar Customs Office, Kailali Customs Office and Jaleshwor Customs Office. The total 20 customs offices are into operation in the country at present.
