Three arrested with 37 kgs of Marijuana

Butwal, Nov 4 . Rupandehi Police have arrested three persons along with a huge cache of banned narcotics, Marijuana.
Acting on a special tip-off, police arrested the three in possession of 37 kilograms of Marijuana from Belbas Shanti chowk in ward no. 13 of Butwal sub-metropolis, according to DSP at the provincial police office Pushpa Raj Malla.
Those arrested are Janak Gharti,34, of Nasikhola rural municipality-9, Baglung, Nahari Tharu,50, of Banaganga municipality-2 and Tika Bahadur Rassakoti,40, of Panini rural municipality-5, Arghakhanchi. Rassakoti is also an elected people’s representative, as a ward member of the same rural municipality.
The drug was meant to be exported to India and brought here from Baglung district and the market value of it is said to be worth Rs. 1.8 million.
