Nepal-Bangladesh Power Mechanism meeting proposed for mid Nov

Kathmandu, Oct 7 The meeting of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has proposed the meeting of the Nepal-Bangladesh Power Mechanism (NBPM) on coming November 15-16. The meeting wrote to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 4 in this regard.
The NBPM was formed acting on the memorandum of understanding for power sector cooperation signed on August 10 between Nepal and Bangladesh. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun and his Bangladeshi counterpart Nasrul Mamid signed the MoU.
Also, acting on the MoU, a joint operation committee under the leadership of secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and a joint task force under the leadership of joint secretary were formed.
