Dolpa-Jajarkot track opens, elates locals
Jajarkot, Oct 6 . The scene of joyful rural faces dancing in public was worth looking indeed. Such rural faces were of the people from Dhaune and Phoolpani of Tripurakot municipality-9 in Jajarkot.
The atmosphere here became joyous with the operation of tractors along the Jajarkot-Dolpa road’s track. The track got ready for vehicular movement with the completion of works along the rocky Tarpare cliff recently.
The results created moments for celebrations among the Dhaune and Phulpani folks who even performed puja and danced together making the moment eventful.
For the people of urban areas who have already access to facilities, the cause of happiness of Dhaune and Phulpani may not be of a big one, but it keeps a meaning for these rural people who had experienced hardship caused by the lack of road facility.
The latest progress in regard with the project has materalised their dream of living better lives with the availability of road facilities.
With this, Dune, the district headquarters of the country’s largest district, has also been connected with the road network.
According to Nepal Army construction taskforce chief Bishwabandhu Pahadi, with the completion of the track opening works, direct operation of tractors, the means of transporting goods, has begun from Khadang to Chungad.
The NA personnel who worked for the project were felicitated by the locals. Under the first phase of Bheri Corridor known as Jajarkot-Dolpa road project, the opening of 117.7 km track from Pasagadh of Jajarkot to Dunai of Dolpa has now been over, according to taskforce chief Pahadi.
