FCAN gets new leadership
Kathmandu, Sept 24 . Rabi Singh has been elected the chair of Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal.
In the election, he secured 466 votes against 353 by his nearest rival Yakshyadhwaj Karki, confirmed chief election officer Baburam Dahal. Other candidates for the post– Ram Sharan Deuja and Purushottam Manandhar -got 66 and seven votes respectively.
Similarly, Nicholas Pandey, the candidate for the senior vice chair, has obtained 465 votes to win the election. He beat his closest competitor Laxman Kumar Rana by 37 votes.
Likewise, Dhirendra Kumar Dahal (vice chair- province 1), Surendra Prasad Singh (vice chair-province 2), Pemba Lama Sherpa (vice chair-province 3), Rajendra Pahari (vice chair-Gandaki province), Top Bahadur Raymajhi ( vice chair- province 5), Ratna Bahadur Khadka (vice chair- Karnali province) and Tek Bahadur Shetty vice chair-province 7) have been elected unopposed.
Angdorjee Lama has been elected the associate vice-chair, Roshan Dahal general secretary, Tanka Prasad Chaulagai deputy general secretary, Narhari Thapaliya deputy general secretary (internal), Hiran Kumar Shrestha treasurer and Saraswoti Karki has won the election as the candidate for the joint –treasurer.
The new members elected on the new executive committee are Pramod Lamichhane, Surendra Raj KC, Ashok Kumar KC, engineer Bhim Bahadur Pal, Dr Surya Bahadur Khadka, Sumant Koirala, Yagya Prasad Khatiwada, Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Shambhu Thakur, Hom Kumar Sharma Acharya, Pancha Ram Tamang ( Padhma), Uttam Bhatta, Khim Prakash Malla, Balaju Shrestha, Megh Jung Shah, Chandra Prakash Thakali, Surat Jung Malla, Bir Bahadur Saud, Hari Prasad Bhatta, Ramji Panta, Shibahari Ghimire, Ujjwal Gautam and engineer Bikash Malla.
Mohan Kumar Kalikote, Manikala Rana Magar, Babita Katuwal and Tara Kumari Shah have been elected unopposed as women members while Santosh Sah (from Tarai region), Dawa Pemba Tamang (ethnic quota), Mangal Bahadur Shahi (backward region), and Tej Bahadur Rai (commodities organization) are the new members.
