Cabinet decisions : 65.28 in subsidy per quintal to sugarcane producing farmers
Kathmandu, Sept. 17 . A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today has decided to provide Rs 65.28 in subsidy per quintal in sugarcane to the sugarcane producing farmers.
The meeting held this evening at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singhadurbar has determined 100,000 tonnes of sugar in quota for the current fiscal year, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota.
Likewise, the cabinet meeting appointed Madan Kharel of Jhapa district as the Executive Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).
Minister Banskota informed that the meeting has decided to furnish a proposal to President Bidya Devi Bhandari in line with the Article 277 of the Constitution of Nepal to award the people of national life contributing to the various sectors in the country.
The meeting has also amended the provisions in the annexes of penal code by making the government as the plaintiff in all types of cases on forgery.
Likewise, the meeting has decided to rename the Cotton Development Committee situated at Khajura in Banke into the National Cotton Development Committee
