No risk to economy: FM Dr Khatiwada

Kathmandu, Aug 29 . Minister for Finance Dr Yubraj Khatiwada has said that there was no risk to the economy at present.
Finance Minister Dr Khatiwada said, ‘We are in the phase of building a strong economy. There is no risk to the economy at present. Good aspects of strong economy should not been put under the shadow, this will promote despair in the private sector.”
He clarified that although it has been criticized, the budget was in favour of the country, adding that the nation should now move ahead towards developing an export-oriented economy.
Saying the government was committed to building investment-friendly environment, Minister Dr Khatiwada said that laws are being formulated for the implementation of fiscal federalism.
Similarly, President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Hari Bhakta Sharma, and senior Journalist Prateek Pradhan, also expressed their views on the occasion.
