New industry see rise in proposed investments

Dhangadhi, Aug 28 . Investment amounting to Rs 1.38 billion has been proposed in 903 new industries registered in Kailali district during the fiscal year 2074/75 BS.
Among the registered firms, the small industries have proposed investment of Rs 1.5 billion while micro-enterprises have investment of Rs 330 million.
According to Cottage and Small Industry Office Chief Dilip Chand, 329 industries have been registered under service category, 192 in productive sector, 296 in agriculture, nine related to tourism and 77 in the category of micro entrepreneurs in the last fiscal year.
Chand further informed that 4,062 men and 184 women will obtain employment from the new industry outlets having annual production capacity of Rs 7 billion
